How You Can Help the Archdiocese of Tororo in Uganda

The Catholic Archdiocese of Tororo, Uganda is one of nineteen Catholic dioceses in the East African Republic of Uganda. It borders the northern shores of Lake Victoria, sharing the border with Kenya to the east. The Archdiocese covers an area of 3500 square miles, serves about 500,000 Catholics and is responsible for 36 parishes, 4 hospitals, 12 maternity / health care centers, an orphanage and two homes for the disabled.

To a great extent, the Church supplements the government's role in meeting the challenges of the needs of the people of our country, especially in the areas of educational, medical and social services. Because we recognize that the ministry of the Church is holistic-encompassing the entire human person-we not only proclaim the Gospel by word but also by deeds, namely, through the support of our schools, hospitals, orphanages and homes for the disabled. These institutions bring faith, hope and charity to our people and are a reflection of the compassion and love which Jesus Himself possessed and practiced. Jesus demanded that his disciples provide compassion and comfort to the needy in the spirit of Christian love.

Our work is supported entirely by the providence of God manifested in free will contributions. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way with us.
