National Disaster Recovery Mission to Joplin, MO

The National Disaster Recovery Mission of the Diocese of Joliet is calling for volunteers for a mission to Joplin, MO. the site of severe tornado damage this past spring.

The mission will be for one week; lodging, food and all materials and tools are provided by the Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) with whom we partner. Anyone interested in participating in this mission please call or email the Peace and Social Justice Ministry. 1-815-834-4028 or 

The mission is scheduled for week of October 9-15. We will leave the Chicago area on Sunday and return the following Saturday.

Any able bodied folks are welcome to participate; those with construction experience are particularly needed. Come and join us for a rewarding experience in helping those in need.
