Catholic Construction Corps and Hurricane Katrina

The Catholic Construction Corps (CCC) of the Diocese of Joliet is now forming teams that will be sent to help with the recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

The dates and locations for the CCC teams are:

December 5 to 9, 2005 at Metairie LA Completed

January 8 to 14, 2006 at Bayou La Batre AL Completed

January 29 to February 3, 2006 at Houma LA Completed

March 26 to April 1, 2006. The site is Atmore, AL for 12 to 15 people. This is work rebuilding form Hurricane Ivan.

Additional dates to help those people who have been identified as having no insurance or other resources, that is, the poorest of the poor are expected. Please note that each CCC mission team will be limited to 8 to 12 people. Please contact Art Sheridan if you will attend.

Donations toward the CCC reconstruction efforts are needed. Please make checks payable to "Peace and Social Justice Ministry" and designate it for the CCC. Mail checks to Catholic Construction Corps, "Hurricane Katrina", 402 S. Independence Blvd., Romeoville, IL 60446. THANK YOU!
