- To share skills and knowledge in aid to disaster survivors.
- To deepens one's own spiritual life by sharing in service,
prayer, and reflection.
- To learn from the survivors how we can help those in need in a
way that reflects mutuality and solidarity.
- To understand that disaster service is not only about damage and
destruction, but about those who lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods,
and possessions. Ultimately this is about people serving others and
finding ways of communicating insights learned from this experience.
