New Law allows you to Give and Save...

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 offers a marvelous opportunity for those with Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) who are over 70 1/2 years old to make tax exempt donations to charitable organizations like Partnership In Mission directly from their IRA.

Here are the advantages:

1. Gifts in any amount up to $100,000 in both 2006 and 2007 are not taxed as ordinary income when withdrawn and paid directly from the IRA to Partnership in Mission.
2. Such gifts are counted toward the Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) if made before December 31, 2006. This also applies to 2007.
3. Because the distribution from your IRA does not increase your Adjusted Gross Income, state taxes may also be reduced.
4. You will still receive an acknowledgement letter, our thanks, and prayer from Partnership in Mission.
