Dear Colleagues:
We are pleased to announce another new resource, "The Culture of Life and the Penalty of Death" which the U.S. Catholic bishops approved unanimously just a few hours ago. This Statement compliments the bishops' ongoing "Catholic Campaign to the Use of the Death Penalty."
We hope it will be a valuable resource as you continue to work on ending the use of the death penalty in your state or in keeping the death penalty from becoming law in those few states who do not have capital punishment.
The statement can be found at: http://www.usccb.org/sdwp/national/penaltyofdeath.pdf. In a couple of months, it will be available for purchase in a booklet form from USCCB Publishing.
