Global Poverty Success
Dear CRS supporters in New Jersey, Ohio, and Illinois,
Thank you for your tremendous advocacy efforts in support of policies that will help millions of our brothers and sisters around the world improve their lives. Thank you especially for your recent efforts to encourage your Senators and Representatives to make sure vital international relief and development programs receive the funding they need this fiscal year.
I am also writing today to ask that you take a moment to thank specific members of your congressional delegation, including Senators Durbin, Obama, Corzine, and DeWine as well as Representative Jesse Jackson (D-2nd, IL) for their tireless efforts to ensure that the FY 2005 supplemental appropriations bill included urgently needed funding for assistance programs in Sudan, Haiti and food aid needs around the world.
Please see contact information for your members and a sample message below. We hope you can support thanking your Senators and Congressman, and to encourage them to continue their leadership on these issues and to acknowledge all the work they have already done to address the needs of people experiencing conflict, hunger, and poverty. Most importantly, please let me know whether you've been able to make a phone call by sending me an email or calling me (contact information below).
Thank you for all your help!
Best regards,
Tina
