STOP CUTS TO THE BUDGET THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACT ILLINOIS' LOW-INCOME FAMILIES! JOIN THE ILLINOIS HUNGER COALITION FOR FEDERAL BUDGET ACTION DAY ON TUESDAY, MACH 8!!!!

Why This Matters:
Congress will be working with the President’s proposed budget, which recommended cuts in food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, childcare, and other programs vital to Illinois residents.

What You Can Do:
Ask your Senators and Representatives to vote against any budget that cuts funding for food stamps, WIC, and other nutrition programs, Medicaid, public education, job training, housing, and other essential services.

Tell them to oppose any budget that cuts basic services now or sets rigid caps that cut more programs each year. Tell them these cuts will hurt Illinois.

Why This is Urgent:
The House and Senate Budget Committees are expected to draft their budget resolutions starting the week of March 7.

Who You Can Call:

Illinois Senators:
Dick Durbin (202) 224-2152
Barak Obama (202) 224-2854
