HEALTH CARE JUSTICE DAY 2008
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27th
What MUST Your Elected Officials in Springfield Do This Year?
PASS AFFORDABLE QUALITY GUARANTEED
HEALTH CARE FOR ALL!
The drumbeat for change and for affordable quality guaranteed health care for all is echoing throughout Illinois and our nation. The demand by the people for health security is rising to a level unseen since the early 1990s.
However some of our elected leaders in the state capitol are pretending they don't hear this drumbeat. The "politics as usual crowd" in Springfield, who for most of 2007 advocated the "Do Nothing Health Care Act", are now using a different excuse for inaction in 2008: Nothing happens in Springfield during an election year.
ON FEB. 27, CALL YOUR STATE HOUSE AND SENATE MEMBER at 1-888-616-3322
TELL THEM: The time is NOW to enact affordable, quality health care for all Illinoisans. It is election time and you need to show the voters that you are on the side of families and not the insurance industry.
ASK THEM: To sign the 2008 New Year's Resolution to pass comprehensive health care reform this year.
Things to keep in mind when you call:
When you call the toll-free number, you will be directly connected with an operator at the Illinois Capitol Switchboard. Simply tell them the name of your state senator or representative OR your district number (found on your voter registration card) and they will connect you to his or her office.
If you need to look up your senator or representative or their district number, you can find this information easily by clicking here.
Please forward this email widely to your network of friends and contacts. Our legislators need to hear from all of us who demand health care justice in Illinois!
